WHY oh why is Ethiopia in such a mess- Africa has great rivers running through it, yet it has so many issues that it would appear incompetance has succeeded over common sense.

Ethiopia will always be on the edge of starvation until its population is reduced to a size that it's land and economy can sustain.
We can wring our hands and cry lamentations for the dead and dying all we want, but until the fundamental issue is addressed - population vs resources, nothing will change.
